  • ACT One Training - Virtual Study Dates 2024 : CII Certificate Units

    ACT One study seminars, we focus on : 

    • Active learning
    • Confidence building
    • Techniques for studying and exams  

    To achieve Certificate (Cert CII) candidates must achieve 40 CII credits.

    Our principal trainer, Alison Cooper FCII, has been referred to as a CII passmaster & candidates benefit from her teaching experience, being PGCE
    qualified, combined with her industry experience & that of a CII senior examiner.

    ACT One Training Services Ltd has helped to guide many candidates through their CII Qualification journey. Workshops are delivered online via zoom, focusing on the key areas of the syllabus. For each subject unit, there are two 3 hour workshops (1pm-4pm), please see dates below.

    Cost per CII member £95 & Non-member £125. Candidates must be able to attend both of the scheduled workshops, to secure a place.

    Places are limited, so book early. Workbooks will be provided.

    A minimum number of course bookings is required to run the course.

    Your booking is confirmed once the payment has been processed and a confirmation email is received from ACT One.

    IF1Insurance Legal & Regulatory

    (Compulsory unit)
    15 January & 29 January

    IF1 builds the foundation knowledge for insurance professionals. Risk,the Insurance Market, Contract Law, the Law of Agency and the legal principles of Insurable Interest, Good Faith, Proximate cause and other claims settlement principles.

    IF2– General Insurance Business

     

    12 February & 26 February

    IF2 builds on the foundation knowledge from IF1 and focuses on key products in Personal lines and Commercial lines. It also builds knowledge of policy wordings, underwriting, claims and customer service.

    IF3– Insurance Underwriting Process 

     

    4 March & 18 March

    IF3 provides knowledge and understanding of the underwriting role, by looking at the identification, assessment and acceptance of risk, rating and relevant financial factors.

     

    IF4– Insurance claims handling process 

     

    8 April & 22 April

    IF4 focuses on general claims principles, insurance products, claims procedures and claims settlement, as well as the management of expenses.

     

     

     

    IF6– Household Insurance Products 

     

    13 May & 29 May

    IF6 focuses on Personal lines products, with the main emphasis on Household and its cover for buildings & contents. There are many optional extensions to consider. Other personal lines products are then covered, such as Travel, Pet and Caravan insurance. Also, special risks, such as homeworking and high net worth.

    IF8– Packaged commercial insurances 

     

    10 June & 24 June

    IF8 provides knowledge and understanding of the development and design of packaged commercial policies, scope of cover by focusing on underwriting, policy wordings and claims.
